Conditions and Symptoms We Evaluate

The sections below describe symptoms patients often bring to our clinic. They are educational only and cannot tell you what is causing your symptoms. An in-person evaluation is the appropriate way to explore that.

Educational overview

What You Are Feeling Is Worth Describing in Detail

Bring the specifics: when symptoms started, what makes them better or worse, and which activities have become harder. Those details shape a more useful evaluation.

Neck pain

Stiffness, aching, or limited turning in the neck can follow a collision, a workplace task, or long periods in one position. An evaluation looks at movement, muscles, and whether nerve involvement should be considered.

Back pain

Back discomfort ranges from a dull ache to pain that radiates into the hip or leg. Describing when it started and what makes it worse helps a provider decide what to examine and whether imaging may be useful.

Joint pain

Pain, swelling, or reduced motion in a shoulder, knee, hip, wrist, or ankle can have several possible contributors. An evaluation may include a rheumatology consultation or imaging when appropriate.

Muscle pain

Persistent muscle soreness, tightness, or spasm can limit everyday movement. Care may combine clinical evaluation with supportive services such as massage therapy when suitable.

Numbness and tingling

Numbness or a pins-and-needles feeling in the hands, arms, legs, or feet is worth describing in detail. Testing such as EMG may be considered to evaluate how nerves and muscles are functioning.

Nerve-related symptoms

Burning pain, electric sensations, or weakness along a nerve pathway can affect grip, balance, and confidence in movement. Evaluation focuses on where symptoms travel and what triggers them.

Headaches after an accident

Headaches that begin or worsen after a collision deserve attention, especially alongside neck pain, dizziness, or difficulty concentrating. A provider will discuss whether neurological evaluation is appropriate.

Reduced mobility

Difficulty bending, lifting, reaching, standing, or walking comfortably affects work and home life. Evaluations consider function, not only pain intensity.

Accident-related pain

Symptoms after a motor-vehicle accident may appear immediately or develop over the following days. Documenting when and how symptoms began is part of a thorough evaluation.

Workplace injuries

Pain connected to a workplace incident, repetitive activity, or physically demanding work is evaluated with attention to the tasks you perform and the limits you are experiencing.
